Milestones
1980, Energy System Analysis Laboratory (Room 901) was founded by the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology (INET), Tsinghua University. It is the earliest research institution focus on energy system analysis, energy policy, resource management and sustainable development in China.
1992, INET and School of Economics and Management established Institute of Technical Economics and Energy System Analysis.
1998, Global Climate Change Institute (GCCI) was founded, and was a registered NGO under the UNFCCC.
1999, Institute of Technical Economics and Energy System Analysis was renamed Institute of Energy, Environment and Economy.
2016, The research team of "Energy Management and Climate Policy" was selected as the key research team of Tsinghua University.
2019, Institute of Energy, Environment and Economy became the think tank that is key construction of Tsinghua University.
2020，INET celebrates its 60th anniversary and the 40th anniversary of Room 901.
