Lu Chuanyi is an associate professor, Institute of Energy Environment and Economy, Tsinghua University.

He holds Ph. D. in Economics, School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University, and Postdoctoral fellow in Management Science and Engineering, Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, Tsinghua University.

In terms of teaching, he gives two professional courses for graduate students of Tsinghua University, that is, Energy and Environmental Economics, Resource Economics and Application.

His main research areas are following:

  • Economic impact analysis of energy and carbon emission reduction policies, mainly using qualitative and quantitative analysis by macroeconomic model and CGE model;
  • Analysis of economic policies and their effects on the transformation of industrial structure and energy structure and the upgrading of energy-saving technologies and emission reduction technologies;
  • Analysis of the policies promoting innovation of industrial and energy technology and their effects;
  • Research on carbon emission accounting method and carbon emission reduction path and strategy for enterprises in cement and flat glass industry and public buildings;
  • Research on methodology of carbon quota allocation for building materials industry in China carbon market;
  • Compilation of national, provincial and regional greenhouse gas emission inventories of industrial production processes;
  • Study on national, provincial and regional low-carbon development path and development strategy for double carbon goal.

He has published over 40 peer-reviewed journals papers and co-authored more than 6 books or chapters. The representative teaching book is Resource and Environmental Economics (Beijing: Tsinghua University Press, 2004). The representative academic book is General equilibrium analysis of energy and environment policies (Beijing: Economic Science Press, 2018).
