Seminar on Clean Energy Development - Accelerating Achievement on Affordable and Clean Energy was held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt on the afternoon of November 8, by Institute of Energy, Environment, and Economy, Tsinghua University and Center for International Knowledge on Development (CIKD).

The seminar was held online + offline. Participants discussed the opportunities and challenges of clean and low-carbon energy transition, the green and low-carbon practices of enterprises, and the development of renewable energy industry chain.JIANG Xiheng Vice President, CIKD was moderator, SUN Zhen, Deputy Director-General,Department of Climate Change, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and ZHAO Changwen, President,CIKD,addressed separately.

Session I Opportunities and Challenges for Clean and Low-Carbon Energy Transition was hosted by ZHANG Xiliang, Director, Institute of Energy, Environment, and Economy, Tsinghua University.WANG Zhongying, Director-General, Energy Research Institute of National Development and Reform Commission,Lord Adair Turner Chair of Energy Transitions Commission, Former Chair of UK Financial Services Authority,Wanjira Mathai Managing Director, Africa and Global Partnerships, World Resources Institute,Kennedy Mbeva Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Global Economic Governance Programme, Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, gave Keynote Speeches.

Roundtable Green Practices of Business, Opportunities on Renewable Energy Supply Chain was hosted by FANG Li, Country Director, World Resources Institute China and WANG Yan, Vice President, Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group.
